This license covers disto (the "Software"): the disto desktop application,
the disto command-line tool and their documentation, in the form in which
Marco Ristuccia (the "Author") publishes them. By installing, copying or
using the Software you accept this license. If you do not accept it, do not
install, copy or use the Software.


1. WHAT YOU MAY DO

1.1 Use. You may install the Software on any number of computers and use it
    free of charge, for any purpose, personal or commercial. Professional use
    is expressly allowed: you may use the Software for paid assignments, to
    process images for clients, and in any business that sells photographs
    or imaging services.

1.2 Redistribution. You may copy the Software and give it to others, free of
    charge, provided that:

    (a) you distribute only complete, unmodified copies of the distribution
        files as the Author publishes them (the disk image, the installer or
        the archive), including this license and the NOTICE file;

    (b) you credit the Author wherever you distribute or offer the Software,
        for example on a web page, a download listing or physical media, with
        the words "disto by Marco Ristuccia", and state that it is freeware
        distributed under this license; and

    (c) you do not suggest that the Author endorses you, your products or
        your services.


2. YOUR WORK

The images you process and the lens profiles you create with the Software
belong to you. You owe the Author no royalty for them. You do not have to
credit the Author on them.


3. WHAT YOU MAY NOT DO

You may not:

(a) sell, rent, lease, sublicense or otherwise charge for the Software, or
    for access to it, whether on its own or bundled with anything else, for
    example in a paid product, a paid download, a subscription or a paid
    software collection;

(b) make the Software available to others as a hosted, online or remote
    service. Processing images for your own clients yourself, as section 1.1
    allows, is not such a service;

(c) modify, adapt, translate or patch the Software, create derivative works
    based on it, or distribute modified copies, including repackaged or
    re-signed builds;

(d) decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the Software, or otherwise
    try to work out its source code, internal structure or algorithms,
    except to the extent that applicable law expressly allows this despite
    this restriction (for example Articles 5(3) and 6 of EU Directive
    2009/24/EC on the legal protection of computer programs);

(e) remove, hide or alter any copyright notice, this license, the NOTICE
    file, or the version information the Software records in its output;

(f) use the Author's name, or the name "disto", to endorse or promote a
    product or service without the Author's prior written permission.

For any use not allowed here, such as including the Software in a commercial
product, contact the Author.


4. THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS

The Software includes third-party components: a Java runtime and several
open-source libraries. The NOTICE file lists them with their copyright
notices and licenses. Each of them is licensed to you under its own license,
not under this one. Nothing in this license limits the rights those licenses
give you, and sections 1.2 and 3 apply only to the Author's own code.


5. OWNERSHIP

The Software is licensed, not sold. The Author keeps all rights in the
Software not expressly granted by this license.


6. NO WARRANTY

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR
IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY,
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. You are responsible
for checking the results the Software produces and for keeping copies of
your original files.


7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE AUTHOR SHALL NOT BE
LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER DIRECT, INDIRECT,
INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, IMAGES, PROFITS
OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR ITS USE.
Nothing in this license limits liability that cannot be limited under
applicable law, such as liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to
life, body or health.


8. TERMINATION

This license ends automatically if you breach it. You must then stop using
and distributing the Software and delete all copies of it in your
possession. People who received copies from you in compliance with this
license keep their own license. Sections 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7 survive
termination.


9. GENERAL

The Author may publish later versions of the Software under different
terms. Each copy of the Software is governed by the license that comes with
it. If any part of this license is found unenforceable, the rest remains in
effect. This license is the entire agreement between you and the Author
about the Software.
